RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research integrates genetic and spatial approaches to understand wildlife populations and their distribution and persistence across landscapes. At Ohio State, I apply these approaches to gray fox (Urocyon cinereoargenteus) and coyote (Canis latrans), exploring population structure, movement, and connectivity across fragmented systems.

BACKGROUND
I received my B.S. and M.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife from Michigan State University, where I worked broadly in plant and wildlife genetics and conducted an environmental DNA metabarcoding study on threatened and endangered wetland herpetofauna across the Great Lakes region. Across projects, I’m motivated by questions linking landscape ecology, molecular tools, and applied conservation to improve long-term outcomes for wildlife populations.
