RESEARCH INTERESTS & BACKGROUND:
Allison is a PhD student whose research focuses on broad-scale studies that integrate landscape ecology and landscape genetics. She enjoys studying a wide range of organisms across diverse taxonomic groups, including arthropods, amphibians, mammals, fish, and birds. Reflecting this breadth, her dissertation examines the landscape genetics of two contrasting species systems: the Flathead catfish and the North American barn owl. She is passionate about working at the intersection of disciplines, combining innovative methodological approaches with a broad taxonomic perspective to address complex ecological questions. She received a B.S. in wildlife & fisheries with a minor in mathematics from Frostburg State University in May 2021 and MS from Ohio State University in 2023. |
